Implementation

Switch systems without stopping shipping.

Most brands are live in a few days or weeks, depending on their volume. Here's what happens in that time, what our team does and what yours does.

The steps

From first call to first shipment.

  1. 1

    Connect

    Store and carriers

Connect Shopify or Lightspeed, then your carriers: Logentic's negotiated rates, your own accounts, or both.
  2. 2

    Set up

    Warehouse and stock

Create your warehouses and bins, then import stock counts by CSV, bin by bin. Products and orders come from your store.
  3. 3

    Rebuild

    Your shipping rules

We help you rebuild your automation rules, and each rule can be test-run before it goes live.
  4. 4

    Go live

    Train and ship

Your pickers and packers learn the scanner flow on the floor, then you ship real orders with our team on hand.
The full migration guide

Who does what

Our team does the setup. Yours keeps shipping.

  • We migrate your data

Products, stock counts and bins, from your current tool or spreadsheets.
  • We help rebuild your rules

Carrier choices, holds, tags and alerts from ShipStation or wherever they live today.
  • We train your team

In English or French, on the floor and in the office.
  • You check the details

Confirm product data, bin labels and the rules before they go live.
  • You set up the floor

Label your bins and set up scanners and printers. See the hardware we recommend.
  • You pick the date

Go live when it suits your calendar, not ours.

Switching close to Black Friday?

Avoid going live between mid-November and the end of December. If you start talking to us during peak, set up and test now and go live in January. If your current setup is failing during peak, talk to us and we'll look at what's realistic.

Lower the risk

Ways teams make the switch safer.

Run both systems for a few days

Keep your current tool on for the first few days while part of your orders ship from Logentic. Turn the old tool off once your team trusts the new flow.
  • Start with one warehouse, one channel or one order type
  • Compare accuracy and speed on real orders
  • Turn the old tool off when you're ready

Test every rule before it goes live

Every automation rule in Logentic can be test-run before you publish it, so you see what it would do before it touches a live order.

Implementation questions

Most brands are live in a few days or weeks, depending on their volume, the number of warehouses and how custom their workflows are.

Yes. We recommend running both for the first few days, on a share of your orders, before you turn the old one off.

Logentic runs in a browser and on handheld scanners. If you need equipment, our hardware page lists what we recommend for each station.

There's no automatic import, so we rebuild them with you. Most ShipStation rules map to a Logentic rule: carrier and service choices, holds, tags and alerts. Package presets are set up in your shipping settings.
